Scalp PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

A 50-minute treatment which involves injecting PRP (platelet rich plasma) into the scalp through microneedles to stimulate hair growth. 

Your designated therapist will begin by extracting a small syringe of blood from your arm – using the same method as a standard blood test. The tube containing your blood is then placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components. The PRP, which is rich in growth factors and a powerhouse for your hair and skin, is removed and inserted into the scalp using microneedles.

Upon insertion into the scalp, the plasma stimulates the cells around the hair follicles into an active growth phase. It can take some time to see hair growth, but most clients see and feel a difference 8 weeks after treatment. 

Scalp PRP treatments are delivered as part of a programme of treatments. We recommend having a minimum of 6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. To maintain results, we recommend an additional top-up PRP session every 6 months. 

This treatment can be carried out in isolation or combined with other scalp treatments, including laser hair restoration, at The HVN to enhance results. Your designated practitioner can develop a bespoke treatment programme for you on request.
