Active Acne Treatment
£ 475
Acne is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells, leading to whiteheads, blackheads, or pimples. Hormonal fluctuations play a significant role in acne development, making it a common issue during adolescence; acne breakouts can also occur later in life, particularly during menopause.
Our Fotona laser treatment offers a painless and effective solution for acne, delivering immediate and effective results. This advanced treatment reduces active acne and addresses acne scarring, ensuring a clearer, smoother complexion.
Our bespoke and comprehensive acne protocol focuses on every aspect of acne formation:
• reducing oiliness of the skin
• settling inflammation
• removing dead skin cells that sit on the skin's surface and clog pores
How it works:
Active Acne: the Fotona laser treatment can effectively and precisely target acne inflammation. Utilising photoselective absorption and controlled heating, the high-powered laser penetrates the skin to an optimal depth, thermally and selectively neutralising overactive sebaceous glands. This process also accelerates healing and stimulates collagen remodelling, which is crucial for long-term acne management.
Acne Scars: the Fotona laser wavelength provides gentle and effective ablative scar revision. This laser achieves minimal penetration depth necessary for light resurfacing, improving skin texture and tone. Unlike chemical peels or dermabrasion, laser resurfacing precisely controls penetration depth, gently vaporising micron-thin layers of scarred skin to reveal healthy skin beneath.
Expected results:
Post-treatment, patients will observe an immediate reduction in active acne and associated inflammation and redness. Over time, skin texture and tone will noticeably improve, offering a refined, rejuvenated appearance. A minimum of 3 sessions is necessary to achieve visible and lasting results. The optimal number of treatments for your individual needs will be discussed during your consultation. We typically recommend scheduling treatments every 4 weeks.
