Rosacea is a long-term inflammatory skin condition that causes skin reddening, usually on the nose and cheeks. There are 4 types of rosacea, each of which can be treated with our bespoke laser tailored to your skin's individual needs.
• Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea – associated with redness, flushing, and thread veins.
• Papulopustular Rosacea – often known as acne rosacea, and associated with spots and breakouts along with inflammation and redness
• Phymatous Rosacea – a rarer form of rosacea linked to thickening of the nose skin, often more commonly found in men
• Ocular Rosacea – also rare and only affects the eye area
Rosacea symptoms typically come and go, with many people reporting that certain factors, such as spending time in the sun or experiencing emotional stress, bring them on. After some time, symptoms can become more permanent.

Dr. Tanja Phillips' bespoke laser treatment addresses the multifaceted origins of rosacea with precision and efficacy. The treatment varies depending on the type of rosacea. Our bespoke approach immediately shrinks capillaries, delivering an instant cosmetic improvement. The laser light is absorbed by the haemoglobin in red blood cells, breaking them down and causing the superficial capillaries to collapse. The laser can also target spots, bumps, and uneven skin texture or tone associated with acne rosacea, reducing these imperfections. The laser also treats the underlying redness and pigmentation, providing a comprehensive approach to managing any type of rosacea.
Expected results:
Post-treatment, patients may experience some redness for a few hours. Once this subsides, there is a noticeable reduction in the signs of rosacea. You will see the most noticeable results 4 - 8 weeks after your first treatment. We recommend 3 sessions every 4 - 6 weeks for optimal results.
Several sessions are required, and each treatment builds upon the previous one, leading to clearer, less reactive skin and a visibly improved complexion.
